This arc isn’t even over and people still jumping the gun on zoro 🤦‍♂️. Do you people ever learn from your past mistakes regarding zoro?

Oda has written the law: Zoro is to always stay winning. So it’s going to remain that way through the end of the story. The wano arc we just went through is just the prelude to zkk.

Right now we’re in an intermission period, as GB has come to get washed by zoro and become his new hype man. After his defeat, he ain’t going to be an akainu fanboy any longer, he’s going to be Zoro’s new Johnny and Yosaku.

Thats true though... of course Oda doesnt hate them, he doesnt hate any of his characters, its just that he trashes on some characters and ruins them unintentionally... Zoro's promises and indications in wano was one of worst character treatment... and yes he absolutely trashed Sanji in WCI

He doesn't hate him.

He just has no interest in developing his character, or give him meaningful/irreplaceable feats. It's been like that since Thriller Bark.

It's easier to give him "cool" stoic one-liners and generic sword slash splash pages as opposed to properly developing his role on the crew (combatant/pseudo vice captain) in a way that doesn't potentially overshadow Luffy/Sanji.

And he'll continue to relegate Zoro to shounen fanservice because most fans are content with that for his character.

It’s simple, Zoros character is not what interests Oda because typically Zoros character isn’t what the plot needs. The plot does need Zoros power instead.

That’s why Oda will write more power driven narratives regarding Zoro rather than character driven narratives.

The issue is mostly that the fans and the author see Wano differently. The fans see it as a samurai arc, some even saw it as Zoros arc. However, Oda saw it as nothing more than the door way for luffy to break through in order to further get him closer to his dream. Hence Luffy overshadowed Zoro a lot, and in the end, it makes people saying, What did Zoro accomplish in this samurai arc outside of a fight? Why even include Zoros connection to Wano?

It’s not that Oda hates Zoro, he just seems to see Zoro differently than the fandom. Unfortunately, it’s lately felt like Oda sees Zoro as a combat force and that’s all.

And compared to East Blue Zoro, or Skypeia Zoro, or W7 Zoro. It’s bullshit that this is what he’s being used for.

Zoro said he would avenge Yasui, he didn't.

Zoro said he would visit Ryuma's grave, he didn't.

Oda introduces Ushimaru Shimotsuki to possibly explore Zoro's background and past but later decides he has no further interest in exploring the character in an SBS.

Oda made Luffy parallel Ryuma instead of Zoro, his literal descendent.

Oda has been dropping Zoro's plotlines left and right in Wano, if he is doing this to him in the land of samurai, I can't imagine what he would do to Zoro in future arcs where he doesn't even have much connection to the plotline. Oda dedicated a whole arc to Sanji but can't even bother to explore plotlines for Zoro that would only take a few panels at most. If Usopp ends up getting similar focus as Sanji in Elbaf, then that confirms Oda hates Zoro.

The avenge yasu was a character development for zoro since hiyori told him she wants to kill him herself zoro later forgot about him

Why would you come to this conclusion? We all expected something from Zoro. But Oda chose not to. You should try to figure out why and for what reason?

WCI for Sanji was the same thing. We all expected his Master Plan Stealth Sanji with the Quickest Save in OP history. We got a broken man who needed to be saved then Saved the whole WCI and did what no one could "Knocking out Big Mom" by "Cooking".

Now lets wait and see what will happen to Zoro. So until Wano Officially Ends. Relax

Sanji and BM are the same...clowned many times but Oda fleshed their characters out way more.

Lol to zoro not being a great character. Zoro is a man of great character 🤦‍♂️. Of course kids in this generation don’t know what good character actually means.

If people could emulate even 1% of zoro’s character, the world would be a better place to live in. Self sacrificing, humble, kind, honorable, loyal, honest/direct and hard working. These qualities are shown time and time again with zoro. You don’t need to develop a character who already embodies these qualities.

Sanji got the good writing. Zoro got the battle feats.

After wano it'll balance out. Mark my words. The same shit happened pre ts but not to this degree.

And overall Oda simply couldnt manage this arc accordingly. That's why many subplots weren't developed.
