naruto ironically still have the best ending of all long running show.
bleach still have huge following, and the improved last arc in the anime will be huge

shonen these days has not have the same magic of the original big 3, this is not nostalgia because the previous era (yugioh yuyu hakusho etc) is also not as strong

Which ended up doing diddly squat because of Yhwach's bullshit eyes being able to proactively and retroactively screw over any and all abilities in the past, present and future. :ohreally:

No manga arc has ever numbed my brain like Bleach's final arc did. :risitavirus:

One can only care about visually-pleasing panels when Titty's writing became nauseous towards the end, the amount of wasted potential makes one cling to the hope that it's redeemable with the anime comeback.

I still apologize, that joke of a powerup known as advanced CoC makes one lose his temper, there's definitely no bigger Asspull than Yhwach's A schrift.

Carrot and Wanda vs Perospero: Off Paneled

Sulong Inu and Neko vs Jack: Off Paneled

X Drake vs Apoo: Off Paneled

Inu vs Jack: Most of the fight was off paneled, the only thing we got was the conclusion of the fight

Neko vs Perospero: Same problem as Inu vs Jack

Raizo vs Fukurokuju: So far their fight has been off paneled

Kid and Law vs Big Mom: A majority of their fight has so far been off paneled and when Oda does focus on the fight he only shows a little bit of it.

Now I have no problem with Oda not showing certain side character fights like Carrot and Wanda vs Perospero or Raizo vs Fukurokuju, but others like Inu vs Jack or Kid and Law vs Big Mom those are side character fights that Oda should show us.

Inu vs Jack belong to the drawn like garbage. Same with Raizo vs Fukurujou and Kidd/Law vs Big Mom or Big Mom's fights in WCI.

The one that shouldn't be offpanelled was Sabo + 3 commanders vs Green Bull + Fujitora.

Doesn't matter. Him using it against Sabo isn't that bad because Sabo is 1 of the more important characters, and the 3 commanders can be his hypetool.

most manga series becomes trash as they enter their final stages.
i read naruto and bleach in 2021 and i can see one piece following the same formula (too much focus on the MC), the quality does indeed decline but it's still better than 90% of shonen out there.

  • the worst character designs ever (beast pirates & Samurai are all trash except a few...oda was drinking when he designed them)
  • The worst fights ever (except kaido vs luffy in kuri )
  • The worst treatments of Villains ever (Linlin, Jack,...even kaido suffers)
  • The most wanked & forced character into plot ever (Oden)
  • Tiring plots
  • Dragging scenes & plots
  • More Olympic running scenes (the amount of running that this arc has lol)
  • No tension at all
  • The best MVP ever : Tama... amazing a kid we never knew before wano has played MVP role in one of the most important wars and arc ever.
  • The most offpaneled fights ( more than 7 fights in this arc were offpaneled or barely shown)
  • Everybody LIKES & WANKS luffy ... even during reverie, they were nusy talking about fangirling luffy lol

Oda is a bit** for over using this formula, like mf dont let them fight in the first place if you dont have time to show them on panel. Mf think he Einstien, while all he is doing is creating fake tension mid arc, because Wano is garbage and he needed to give sth to fans to look forward to.
Again, this has been the issue since decades, people are realizing this now because they had enough of this bs.

I wont thrash Oda because he is old at this point and being old messes with your imagination and that is the main reason i believe when you write a shonen manga as a young creator you should finish it in a 10 year period (max).
After that it is just an old man writing about things he cant understand any more and he is too tired at this point even though he wont accept it because of ego.

Naruto was really good until kaguya as people mentioned and Bleach last arc just didnt do it for me the espadas were way more interesting.
Hunter x Hunter imo would beat all of them if togashi didnt go on hiatus.

My hero academia - Black clover should finish after this arc and Jujutsu kaisen author should not drag it either.
Demon slayer became successful because it was short and packed with action and storyline.

One piece arcs are decent but after marineford our expectations were skyrocketed and everything looks plain or mediocre now.
This is Odas fault because he could have made shorter volumes with less characters packed with juicy plot and fights but instead he went over the top creating this sea of abominations that didnt touch our hearts and souls like the arcs before.

Conclusion : If Oda keeps this slow pace one piece will loose everything that made it great,the ERA is changing and either you must go with the flow or see your masterpiece crumble.

And because we compare other great mangas <Kingdom>for me is the best storyline fighting manga right now.
