Izo and Ashura Doji death meant nothing to me because 99% of the time you don't expect anyone to actually be dead and after 5-10+ chapters of not telling us if they're dead or not you just don't care
Silhouettes in the story are often pointless in the cases of Hiyori and Mink transformations what's the point in trying to trick the readers into thinking Hiyori is Toki? Just tell us it's Hiyori and get on with the story.
Blackbeard stealing devilfruits is as simple as killing a devilfruit user while keeping a fruit nearby yet Oda hides this and keeps it secret for no reason what's the point?
With Sabo there's no emotion for the reader. We know nothing about Dragon or his motives so seeing him cry makes us feel nothing. We don't know what happened to Sabo we can only assume he's been captured but we don't know so we don't know what to feel...
