Powers & Abilities Oda making his character's power more and more generic?

- Why can't Oda make Luffy focus more on his CoC and Rubber Concept from the start of timeskip, and instead give Future Sight, which is (imo) more suitable to Sanji? If Luffy doesn't gave CoO or CoA, this can be a good reason for Oda to hype his enemies or give Luffy the justification for him struggling against various enemies, since they have something he doesn't have, but he also gonna have something they don't. Instead, Oda transform Luffy into a damn generic accumulation of every powers under the sun but somehow his enemies can still make him into an underdog.

- Why can't Oda make Zoro focus on his swordsman techniques and then create his own branch of CoA as his peak achievement, that is never seen before in Wano even by Oden? Instead of giving him (Adv?) CoC even before any development or uniqueness in CoA? Doesn't it dilute the power depiction of CoC and boil it down into something generic and unoriginal way too much? And at the same time, fatally downplays CoA, CoO, sword and weapons techniques, Devil Fruits, way too much? I mean now every fandom want CoC since the originality of DF creativity or sword technique, or strategy or outsmarting the enemy, is all nullified by haki. Because the final victory and powerlevel is only decided by direct haki clash and CoC measuring.

---

Tldr:

- Is Oda gonna make each and every strongest character into a generic, diluted kind of fighter? Each fighter having 10 flashy powers or more, instead of being focused and rooted on their own 1-2 original powers? With the same set of skills, same set of haki, same set of power? To be honest i'm genuinely worried about this.

Luffy obviously needs to have all three forms. It'd be silly for him to lack basic CoO and CoA, but I do agree that all these advanced forms for him are quite lame. His concentration is CoC, why give him FS and advCoA. Both advCoC and advCoA look very similar making them hard to differentiate which makes matters worse.

I firmly believe that Kaido and Big Mom have no business having any advanced haki. They've been hyped up to be physical monsters and both have very powerful devil fruits. Explore those devil fruits and their awakenings, and that should be enough for the top tiers. No advanced haki on top of that. It will have the power structure of the top tiers be much cleaner. Because your non-DF top tiers need something to contend against your DF-using top tiers. That thing should being haki. Only they should have these advanced forms. But now Big Mom and Kaido possess them, so that begs the question, what does Shanks have? Mihawk? Garp? An even more advanced version? The haki beams theory must be true; Black blade Yoru must be the greatest weapon in the world; Can't tell me that Garp just punches really hard to be keeping up with Roger, Primebeard, Xebec, etc. And that leads me to Whitebeard, he had the most destructive paramecia and advCoC, probably advCoA, and possibly FS too. Oh, yeah, he has his own weapon on top. How the hell was Roger equal if not stronger than him with just a sword? God forbid Blackbeard has 3 awakened devil fruits with advCoC/CoA/CoO.

Personally would prefer Kaido utilizing his fruit more instead of what basically amounts to 2 abilities and not having what's looking like a match of advCoC vs advCoC against Luffy. Characters having a specific skill that makes them powerful is definitely more interesting, leads to more creative fights, and makes determining the winner more match-up dependent.

Tje only major thing about One Piece I blame is the lack of seriousness when it comes to power level consistency surclassed by the will of the author to portray plots that fits more his peculiar vision of what's beauty.

Finally someone can see this or at the very least accept it. That's the biggest reason why I always say "power levels don't exist in post-timskip," because when a character like Shanks, who is a regular human with only one arm and no DF, can compete with forces of nature like Kaido and Big Mom who posses very powerful DFs + monstrous physique + advanced haki, then there's no established power level structure whatsoever.

Oda obsesses with Making the Monster Trio and their opponents Jacks of all trades

You can obviously tell by comparing them to Jack Smoothie and even Marco. King Queen Doflamingo Cracker and Katakuri look ridiculously better than them Moveset wise.

Hell you can even compare Pica to Diamante and Trebol and see how Pica having FB Haki made him seem like how would beat the shit out of them even DFless.

Too many random fire and lightning abilities that are pretty random. Pretty much every damn character in NW can generate fire out of nowhere.
i don't get why literally nobody except for capone and the red hair commanders are strong gun users

like swordsmanship gets all this lore about being this amazing, mystical fighting style, whereas snipers are just sidelined despite being more deadly than swords. Like smh if Usopp had an actual rifle instead of a children's toy, perhaps he wouldn't need to rely on big mom to defeat page one for him.

The only positive is that he made sure to install a robust power difference enough that the M3 is fundamentally an M2 + 1 at the end of the day.
