Speculations Oda might give Kaido the Crocodile treatment

Crocodile was nerfed by plot because he was too strong at the time he was defeated. But when we saw him in MF, his feats more accurately matched his power level.

I feel like Kaido’s treatment in Wano was very similar to Crocodile’s treatment in Alabasta.

I think it’s very likely we see Kaido return and when that inevitably happens, he will likely outshine most other top tiers as his hype suggests he would.

A good place to bring him back would be the final war, to see him face off against Imu or the Gorosei. That way we know exactly how he measures up.

I think it would be particularly hype to see Kaido vs Gorosei, with Kaido playing a similar role in the final war to Marco in Wano, stalling the Gorosei before Zoro, Sanji, etc. face them.

Ultimately, we never got a confirmation of death from Luffy vs Kaido. Given how Kaido’s dream is a glorious death, I think we should actually see it in the manga.

Kaido 1 v 5ing the gorosei would be a great way for Oda to not only hype Kaido, but just overall do Justice to the character as one of the strongest in the series.

Anyway his Feats in every attribute high top tier.
It’s not on Kaido anymore to prove he’s the strongest. It’s on someone else to prove he’s “not”. Right now, 1-1 bet on Kaido still the highest portrayal amongst mid gen top tiers period.

Can Akainu/Midhawk have higher lethality, Topman higher durability, shank haki, admirals better DFs, sure they can. Question, will any of them have a complete enough package to overtake Kaido.

Croc got slapped left and right

1. His dead.
2. If he returns, he'll get the opposite. By the time he comes back, the power ceiling will have increased to a point where he becomes pretty much fodder to Luffy and characters on or above Luffy's level. Final War would assume Shanks/BB are down, so that would leave Gorosei, Imu, Gods Knights, maybe admirals. Considering the relationship Luffy and Kaido had when they fought in Wano, with both having fun with the fight, he would very likely try to fight Luffy and get hype tooled, in the same way as Lucci was in Egghead and get clowned on by Luffy, even if he ends up allying with Luffy afterwards. In either case, if he comes back, he ain't getting a second wind (or arc boss level relevance).
