Future Events Oda planned it….

I was on Twitter and I came across this tweet by sandman who I follow.

Oda planned that zoro will lose one of his eyes during his early years in one piece and 2021 he got asked this question again but he didn’t

If he planned it then it could be interesting thing for plot or zoro character oda is going to show in the future 🤔 him not answering the question made it seems like it’s going to get explained in the manga

Oda: Wanna know what happened to Zoro's eye? Stay tuned for the next SBS.

*SBS drops*

Q: Hello Oda-sensei, if you don't mind if I ask, what happened to Zoro's eye during the timeskip?

Oda: Hello there, Mihawk cut off one of his eyes because Zoro looks irritated for Mihawk to look at. Oh well, time's out. Make sure to buy my SBS next time for $10.99 along with naked Nami's and Robin's figurines for a discount of 16 dollars. Goodbye.

I think the story behind Zoro's missing eye is similar to Zoro's ancestors. If Zoro himself does not give a fuck about his ancestors, why should you? I fully expect the story behind Zoro's missing eye to be some dumb shit that ultimately does not contribute to the character at all. Especially if it ties into Ryuma. Do you honestly think anyone in the verse will be shown to care if Zoro is/is not related to Ryuma?

If it was dumb shit then oda would’ve said it
The fact ryuma also is one eye means something

Maybe this how he learned observation haki.

Imo, haki awakens when you concentrate to much, just as Usopp at Dresrossa or Coby with all the noise.

Zoro, as he always gets lost which might mean he doesn't really concentrate. So closing one eye forced him to just focus in one point, aka, helping him awaken his haki.
