Character Discussion Oda should’ve killed off some of the Supernova

Hawkins was useless, he should’ve been killed off during the timeskip by one of the Yonko

Urouge is also useless (so far). Unless Oda actually has major plans for him, he should’ve just beaten Snack and then been killed by Cracker

Killer should’ve been killed by the RHPs the first time Kid fought them in order to give Kid even more of a grudge against Shanks

Apoo should’ve either been killed of during the TS or killed by Kid after his betrayal.

The only Supernovas that should’ve been kept are Luffy, Zoro, Kid, Law, Bonney, Drake, and Bege (who at least needs to be alive by WCI, tho maybe he could be killed off in the arc). With Apoo and Hawkins gone, Drake can get more focus instead

To be fair, saying some of the Supernova should have been killed off due to being completely useless isn't actually evidence of them needing to be killed off, it's evidence that a number of them shouldn't have ever been introduced or at least not introduced as full fledged pirate captains.

My personal take is that there should have been less crews.

I keep saying that the Supernovas are not comparable to Luffy in the slightest for a reason. Lol.

Oda screwed himself over by having eleven Supernovas split across nine whole feckin crews.

Nine crews means nine subplots and dozens of characters to support those subplots, which is a lot of effort for a group of characters that Oda just added in for flavour at a point in the story where they were introduced far too late to even matter.

The Supernovas should have been condensed into four crews, one for each sea.

Luffy/Zoro/Straw Hats from East Blue.

Kidd/Killer/Bonney from South Blue.

Drake/Hawkins/Law from North Blue.

Bege/Apoo/Urouge from West Blue/Grand Line.

This would have made each crew far more manageable and more impressive. The other crews could even compete with the Straw Hats.

Instead, Oda has spread them out far too thin and has Zoro defeating Supernova captains that are supposed to be Luffy's rivals. Super Scrubs indeed. Lel.

As for the others, I can get behind offing them. Not in the way you put it though. Random deaths are just weird, them having some characterization and then dying in an onscreen fight would be fine

Oda doesn't even care to have any of the supernova in the latest "12 people competing for One Piece" double spread.

So it makes no sense to keep them around. They aren't rivals to Luffy, not even to his 2 wings at this point.

Law at least has relevance through learning history and his df.
Bonney still around but severely sidelined in Elbaf.
Urouge will do something.

Everyone else? Should be dead.
