General & Others Oda the scam king?

It’s hard to determine what was and wasn’t already planned. The earlier stuff like Skypiea‘s lore still has relevancy in the story, which goes to show how important it truly is (why did anyone skip this arc? SMH).

I think the easter eggs like Sabo supposedly being at Loguetown are pretty cool.

He could’ve seen discussion surrounding this later on and used the character as a base though, so… :suresure:

What if Oda randomly research his old chapters, arts, and cover pics and decides that let use this for a future event, and here by fooling his D suckers by making them worship him as Goda the God of foreshadowing?
Read Bakuman.
They refer to this thing specifically when they want to write their best hit chapters.

What basically is described is that many mangaka do what you just said.
Which makes it undistinguishable from having it planned

some authors call it tying up the story or somesuch, where you connect loose ends, up to that moment you let the story write itself

which is why Oda likely does throw dice or random number generator and makes up his number puns to tell the story
much of his characters are inspired from elsewhere anyway

Oda never wrote the story, fate itself did, he just interpreted it and added his own headcanon to One Piece

So Goda is some ethereal divinity that channels his will through Oda to write its sacred text, the One Piece.
