The same recurring shit is happening again. I mean we know for sure that the crew gets separated each arc but sometimes Oda has a habit of doing this to Zoro too much. Mostly his gag sense of direction is used but this time it gets even worse. To protect VP Zoro pushes Lucci out of the building but doing so has Zoro not present when Kizaru comes for VP. Sanji and Jinbe are getting clowned because of how easily Kizaru reached VP and no defense or reaction is shown (a possibility that like Zoro they are also missing from the scene).

It is a strategy to explore many scenarios and plots using your main cast. It would be too boring if Oda had to make Luffy vs Kizaru 1v1 and all Strawhats just watch it.

I don't recall Sanji and Jinbei being there with VP but good question. Where are each Strawhats? Who were on Sunny already?

I just remember Nami and Usopp with Vegapunk. Franky tried to face Kizaru after he isolated Luffy breaking the robot that was carrying Sunny in the proccess.

Maybe Sanji is taking care of Stussy with Chopper and Jinbei since she got badly hit by Lucci while also having an eye on Kaku so no one free him or other Seraphims?

Yeah, Oda conveniently didn't make Kizaru face Luffy + 3 strongest members, else Kizaru will lose faster.

1. That's bad for portrayal.
2. Oda loves to create unnecessary tension. VP + weakest SH facing off Kizaru is a tense scene Oda wants to draw.

Zoro is outside, the other 2 were hiding so they don't get clowned by Kizaru. We all know that if Oda had Lanji on panel they would be crying for years because he can't do anything.

It is necessary to bring the entire crew together to get Luffy's screen time. I stopped following the manga after Wano, I only read the summaries and skim the manga pages. I just can't stand seeing Luffy's face on every page anymore. Always Luffy facing the strongest and having 95% of the spotlight for himself.

Get Luffy out of at least one mini-arc. Sanji vs Rob Lucci with a quote from Rob being almost as strong as an admiral, Zoro vs Kizaru. But no, once again Luffy has to have the only good fights and the entire plot revolves around him.
