A key feature of Oda’s writing is that he needlessly goes out of his way to hide major information from the reader.
An example of this is his silhouette fetish. How Imu has had numerous appearances over 200 chapters and yet we still don’t know what he looks like.
Or just things like Luffy’s dream. Where Luffy, the main character, as well as all the SHs know what the dream is, but we the readers don’t.
I guarantee you, Oda WILL write Laugh Tale this way.
The final war can only happen after One Piece has been found. This means that the SHs will discover all the key mysteries of the story before the final arc begins. Yet Oda uses these mysteries to keep the readers invested, so he won’t just give them up.
He will treat Laugh Tale like Reverie. Luffy will go to Laugh Tale, we will get the “he laughed” page of him and the SHs, then Oda will just skip to the final war. All the SHs will know about one piece and the true history, but none of us will.
Then much like the Oden flashback, Oda will give it to us right before act 3 of the final war. My guess is before raiding Mariejois, Luffy will sit down with Law and maybe Kid and tell them about the true history, just like Roger did to WB. That’s when we will find out.
Even then, I still think Oda will find ways to omit crucial details up until Luffy vs Imu ends.
