General & Others Oden vs. Kaido Plothole?

Oden was stronger otherwise why make the whole hostage thing? Also fo course the fight ws summarized, Oda didn't want to waste much time on it and more importantly show Kaido real powers/cards before the real fight started. Also it has to be underlined that thoae fight was Kaido and his army (calamities included) who ambushed Oden and his 9 scabbards so maybe, just maybe, there was also another disadvantage like 10 people fighting an army. Then of course Oden and Kaido had ti be close and Kaido got musch stronger in the last 20 years but imo it is clear Oden had the better portrayal in their fight

1. Well there is a good chance he is in flashback. Kaido mainly fought in his dragon form which is the weakset from.
2. Oden was fine after taking boro breath but got k.o.ed from wounded kaido's no named club attack
3. Divine thunder from healthy kaido will be devastating for oden.
4. Can oden dodge divine thunder? What happens when divine thunder clashes with totsuka paradise...
5. Luffy did similar think like oden putting him(kaido) down for a moment but he immediately got up
6. Hybrid kaido should be even more powerful and definitely should win

Kaido didn't planned on taking hostage during the fight the old hag did and she didn't know how powerful kaido was..did he had a hybrid form or not...

We don't know if oden fought calamities all we see is calamities clashing with scabbards...only people oden mostly fought are fodders

I think you're forgetting how fast a fight can end if someone drops their guard, especially if the plot demands it.

Yeah I agree. Oden mostly would have won the fight if it continued but hybrid kaido should win against him....if he used it from the start....

They did this hostage thing because Oden got him off guard and Kaido got him off guard
Lol Kaido one-shot him even if a character gets attacked off-guard ( Akainu got WB, WB got Akainu, Jozu got Kuzan , Kuzan got Jozu, Katakuri got Luffy offguard and so on ) they don't get beaten if they strong enough to stay conscious but Kaido did knock him out
At all Kaido had the better potrayal he knocked out a top tier with one shot he also knocked out Gear 4 commander level in shot which character did it besides him ?
