At this stage it makes so much more sense to infer that Zoro possibly solos Kaido rather than King soloing even just Marco alone.

he fought Both king and Queen at same time
then Sanji came and his burden was lessen
BUT
1: as seen, fodders were looking for Marco to help them, they were not looking for Sanji,
2: Queen himself was surprised why marco was alive
meaning once again both King and Queen had fought marco, and beaten Marco together, after Queen beating Sanji, he focused on Marco and ignored Sanji as shown, he was not focusing on Sanji... both King and Queen were focusing more on finding Zoro than to focus on beating Sanji
