Shiryu has been very, very unimpressive.

As is I can't even place him above King.

He seems to be a low diff for the likes of Garp in a 1 vs 1, let alone Top Tiers in their prime.

He doesn't seem to have what it takes to give Egg Head Zoro a King level fight, let alone Raftel Zoro.

I feel like Shiryu needs a massive power up to give Zoro a difficult fight at Raftel.

Alternatively, it could be that I'm just massively overrating Zoro.

Agreed with everything, shiryu really seems low diff for zoro, idk what trolling lolda is going to do to make it a "High Stakes" fight. Maybe zoro gets nerfed? So far, shiryu is just a clown.

You basing this on what exactly? He did the most damage to garp qnd took Garp punch and got right back up. Literally the same exact thing would happen to Zoro

See I don't think Old Garp is stronger than current Zoro.

In fact, while King of Hell lasts, I'd say Zoro is straight up the superior fighter.

Why are you bringing up KOH? When did Shiryu use a name attack on Garp? All he did was a regular Haki stab. You literally have no clue about Shiryu or his moveset. Where you get this no nane attack is some top level Shiryu move?

Point is I think Zoro >= Garp, while Shiryu looked like he was decisively weaker than Garp.

All he achieved was a Squardo level feat.

Shiryu is likely going to be hard cause Zoro currently has no way to deal with his invisibility
As far as we know COO can detect invisibility.

Zoro's COO has never been suggested to be lacking.

This has always been the case with zoro fans. Finally one coming to his/her senses

:josad: threads like this wouldn't exist if Oda just gave him the diamond fruit instead of that stupid invisibility fruit

Anyway, I'm still hopeful for Shiryu. That nameless stab did lead to the end of Garp's career. Also, King didn't look too amazing at first, he only started looking good immediately before his fight with Zoro

Eh if CoO can simply do that, then King/Queen/Drake/Hawkins/P1/Coby wouldve all been able to. Oda has shown Invisibility as an ability that is hard to overcome with Observation haki alone
Garp detected Shiryu's sneak attack on Coby and shielded him with his body.

Sanji could perceive Queen while he's invisible.

Invisibility may confer an advantage, but COO can detect it, especially if the opponent is on guard.

Yeah but Garp is a haki master and Sanji is a CoO specialist. Those two have a very high level of Observation haki, which you seem to need to even sense invisible opponents (Coby for example couldnt) Zoro doesn’t have that level of Observation haki yet

Again, Zoro hasn't been suggested to be at all lacking in COO.

He doesn't have future sight, but neither does Sanji/Garp.

And Coby isn't a yardstick to compare to Zoro.

Lacking no, but not at that level.

And there’s not just CoO and Future sight. You can have stronger CoO than others without having future sight; just like you can have stronger CoA than others without having internal destruction.
