Ok i have a little fun theory about what is One piece and Imus Devil Fruit.
First lets talk about Imus Devil Fruit, i think Imu has darkness Dragon Mythical Zoan fruit and let me explain how i came to this conclusion. Most people probably knows samurai Jack and Aku, Jack time travelled to the future to defeat Aku who had conquered the world. And there is also Oden vs Kaido which is also a samurai vs the dragon so can you see the similarities.
Now lets come to Toki Odens wife and where was she heading to yes Wano. Toki probably headed to Wano to find the guy in the prophecy who will kill the Darkness dragon just like how Oden fight evil dragon Kaido. But as fate she come a sooner time line and instead find Oden and fall in love with him so she stayed and died in that time line.
Imus Darkness dragon Devil fruit probably has similar powers to Blackbeards darkness logia which can steal abilities but Imu can also revive the dead and give them immortality, which can also be explained by him stealing other abilities and combining them together. Maybe Blackbeard also knew Imus abilities by reading historical records which led him to look for darkness logia.
Now lets come to One Piece, i think One Piece is Joyboy’s spear which is a weapon one league above the 12 supreme weapons. One piece spear can also be only used by a person who has an impossible amount kings haki. That is why only Luffy will be able able to wield One piece and other then him even if someone tries to use it they will die because it will suck all their haki. By the way since Imu is a Darkness dragon One piece is probably a light spear maybe fire spear.
Now let see why Roger couldn't find One piece and and Luffy will, also importance of this weapon. Remembering Odens story we all know he hurt Kaido but couldn't finish the job because of they took momo as a hostage. Joyboy probably stabbed One piece to Imus forhead in his dragon form but just couldn't finish the job for some reason. This also explains why Imu killed Saturn becuse he let Joyboys haki out which scared him and made him remember his weakness. Though Joyboy couldn't kill Imu he saw there was a possibility in the future or his friends did i am not sure. Somehow they build grandline as a training ground for haki and sent the weapon to the time line of Luffy, where LaughTale is. Roger and Ray laughed becuse they were just too soon, even Ray said we might have hasted. That is why Roger laughed and said he wished he lived in Luffys era, remember even Ace rogers son stabbed Blackbeard with flame spears and they hurt him very bad.
I think Toki also came to Wano becuse Imu will be killed at Wano, maybe after stabbed by the spear and Zoro will finish the job by decipating Imu so Toki looked for a swordsmen who will kill the Dragon who knows. By the way as a Sanji fan since he has fire powers maybe he can also play a role in this i hope but Zoro will probably do the clean up so Imu wont revive, which can also be the reason why Joyboy lost since Imu revived. Remember Shanks also uses a fire sword and sun symbol so he will probably go after One piece too so he can beat Imu.
Why i choose Spear not sword should be obvious since it fits Luffy better and can just stab it to Imus forehead with red hawk. Also i don't think Oda will give Luffy a sword and there is Odins legendary spear Gungnir. Joyboy may be a giant from elbaf and used Gungnir who knows since we all know Joyboy used a spear and a sword. Here we can also see similarities between Oden and Odin which may be Joyboy. Maybe Gungnir fell a little short and even Joyboys haki wasn't able to take down Imu so they crafted a stronger spear and called One piece which is also a possibility.
