It says something about Kaido and Big Mom's powers and special chemistry if their teamwork at two is far more effective than the one of 5 supernovas who don't have the same history of violence and treachery toward each other and others.

Kaido and Mama were teammates for several years, and Mama considers him her younger brother. Kidd and Killer have no experience working with Zoro, Luffy and Law.

Since it's almost confirmed Big Mom, Kidd and Killer will be separated from Luffy, it would be kind of cool if for the last legs of the Kaido fight all the SH's make it in time to give Luffy an assist.

Kind of like an Oars fight deal with the whole crew working together

Oden said it's the Worst Generation that would defeat Kaido.

I don't think so, the chapter seems to focus on the scabbards, Yamato and Orochi, the rooftop will have just 2-3 pages. But that means at least half chapter 1009 on the roof
