Kizaru used a lightsword against Rayleigh which is to say a construct of his devil fruit, perhaps you could say in the same way Law cant use his spatial room abilities on Kaido or BM, but he can use countershock and Gamma Knife, which is to say is constructs of his df, but his actual spatial abilities dont work.

I think the only way Asura was particularly nerfed was in the sense that CoC reveal opens the door to a MUCH more powerful version showing later, even 0.5 HP Zoro can still pull his most powerful moves the same way that a ''fresh'' Luffy wouldn't have vaporized Lucci with a jet gatling, pulling ultimate moves at their worst is business as usual.
