Mainly because after Wano when Luffy takes down Kaido the beast Pirates will have no where to go. Some people think Oda will use this as a chance for Kidd to bolster his crew/fleet by subjugating some of the beast pirates. Ulti and Page one have been the names I’ve been hearing a lot of people say might join his crew because their personality and style seems to fit his crews theme. Also Luffy, Law, and Kidd will probably be leaving Wano as big shot pirates so it would make sense if people wanted to join their crew.

And now here we are and it seems like Oda might be setting up Kidd saving Ulti and Page One from Big Mom inadvertently. This would obviously make them in debt to Kidd and would make him their first choice if they were to join anyone.

Plus Kidd’s ship, the Victoria Punks figure head is a dinosaur. Could be some foreshadowing. Not saying it’s a for sure thing but I believe there’s a good chance it’ll happen.

I know he wants to redeem her but this could have been setup so much better than having prometheus inform us on this personality quirk of hers this late into her introduction. It's an illogical asspull to make her a plot device. I long accepted Linlin will only be a plot device but if thats going to be the case, at least put some effort into it. Plot devices are only bad when they're executed in a lazy way such as the way Oda handles them.

No one is taking her down in a fight. I know that won't happen. I've been waiting for the moment of her "turn" but I expected it to be done with actual care and subtlety.

Good luck. I dont think Ulti and P1 give a flying fuck about debt or who helped them. Nor would their arrogant personas ever go under someone who aint an actual Top-Tier in power.
