Story wise, it doesn't imo.

But forum wise, it does. People will keep bringing that point against King when the topic is against Kata/Doffy.
Just like people keeps bringing King's bounty against Kata.

You'd have to be very dishonest at this point to say Doffy wins because of CoC lol. King has much better feats already and we're just midway through the fight.

Kata again depends on where you fall on Zoro's PL to scale to King. But CoC alone doesn't put Kata over King, that's a silly conclusion.

I think I figured it out. King is basically like kaido. Kaido took multiple stab wounds and even an attack on his internal organs(gamma knife) and still barely looked injured afterwards. Why? Because Kaido's mythical zoan has enhanced healing properties. King is just like this but due to his race combined with his zoan, his regeneration is far stronger, possibly even close to marco's level.

The way you do lasting damage to kaido is to use ACoC, as was done by Luffy, Zoro, and Oden. By hitting kaido with CoC, for whatever reason, it makes it harder for him to recover from the damage.

So, in order to defeat King, Zoro needs to hit him with an ACoC infused slash. At the moment, enma is going berserk. Right before Zoro scarred kaido, we saw a panel of enma with a white aura surrounding it. Given how Enma can draw out CoA, it is also possible that enma can draw out CoC in a user. Zoro will master enma and use it to draw out his CoC, allowing Zoro to hit King with an ACoC clash and deal damage to him that he cannot recover from.

Enma enhances The users Conquerors Haki

The entire purpose of the akainu chase narratively is meant to make the reader wonder "who can possibly stop him/save Luffy + Jimbei."

And the answer is literally all of the commanders

Then akainus equal was stopped by a yc right after and akainu shat his pants because of a yonko for the 2nd time in MF

Katakuri matched snakeman in base...even blitzed luffy then
He's better at cqc , range, speed, haki, etc...

Average haki, no awakening and with random skills

Katakuri doesn't even have his mother's special traits except CoC
Everything about kata is that he earned his own strength and skills by training and fighting

Constant heat drastically changes its properties just check mochi.

Mate the panel is right in front of me. Kata’s fist is on fire. not to mention that you are talking about a scenario where you make jt seem as if King has the mera mera fruit. Besides that Kata is mochi and can produce the mochi he has nothing on him. There isn’t really a DF disadvantage.

Bb is just more good with strategies than other younkous their strength are on equal

Though honestly the chance for King to have CoC is becoming less and less.
Every new chapters Oda is focusing on King, he focuses on either his race or his DF.. no sign of CoC

If King was a haki master, he'd have adcoc/fs/adcla highlighted straight on like Ray, Oden and kata were highlighted in intro and the whole arc

It would be very strange if King who is the last of a very powerful race and also Kaido right hand man isn't given CoC. I trust Oda will do the right thing as it would also be a good opportunity for Zoro to train it in this fight
