Depends on how much his speed and defense are decreased. King appears to have taken Zoro's COC attack in his vulnerable state and that too in base. His defense is still crazy if he took the attack when his defense is off. It's a simple trick but not easily exploitable.

At least it's not lame healing flame. We already have that with Marco.

King is still mad strong. Even without his flame defense he still has his great zoan durability and his own strength. But it is not an overwhelming gimmick anymore. People can find ways around it, especially when king is attacking too, or moving, or caught off guard.

There is a big difference between WCI Luffy and post rooftop ACoC Zoro. Oda is still having ACoC Zoro defeat King.
