RayanOO

Lazy is the way
So yeah, i do not agree with the entire sentiment in this paragraph.
Just as an example, Shishi Sonson of pre-TS, the one Zoro used to oneshot Mr1, was still as dangerous to a higher level opponent Kaku, so much so that the dude defended against it instead of tanking it with Tekkai, which would have resulted in a great injury minimum or finished him off, which is substantiated by both Zoro´s and Kaku´s dialogue. And this was also two arcs later.
In comparison, Sanji still needed a dozen or so hits, 2-3 of them with his newest powerup against a comparable opponent as Zoro.
So yeah, it´s not the first time Zoro´s high end attacks of previous attacks are more powerful as the powerup two arcs later.
Zoro SS against Mr.1 was likely weaker than SS against Kaku.
Zoro haki increased because he became stronger during Alabasta and then Skypiea etc. Zoro also became overall stronger between Alabasta and Enies Lobby, he trained, had greats fights etc etc.

It’s like comparing current ISDS and DR ISDS. Current one is quite stronger because Zoro is stronger.

And look at the portrayal of that attack against Kaku compared to Mr1 : it defeated Mr1 while Kaku managed to counter that attack with a rankyaku. Yeah he countered it because he would have been hurt by it but it was still an attack that he could handle. While Ashura negated his best rankyaku and then beat him.

EL Ashura > EL SS > Alabasta SS.

Yeah Landed multiple kicks on Jabra tekkai and that likely hurt him before the finishers. But only those DJ kicks managed to really hurt Jabra. The previous kicks hurt him but not that much, he was still able to fight normally and didn’t show that much sign of strain. The DJ kicks completely bypassed his tekkai and we’re much more devastating.

DJ against Mr1 level guy would have drop him too

So yeah we can have the debate about EL SS vs DJ but alabasta SS va DJ i don’t think SS was stronger or more efficient to KO someone.
