Two things to consider:
One, durability isn't everything that King's got; he has enough speed to keep up with Marco even outside his speed form, who in turn, fought and kept up with the fastest character in the series. No character who requires external advantages to land hits on BM would have a hope at landing hits on King.
Two, Law loses room while using awakening. Law's got terrible raw fighting skills even with the room, so his chances of ever reacting to or landing hits on King are even low in awakening. Law's only hope is if King decides to fight at close range to mock Law as he did against Zoro.

So lets give Law the same 2 months since dressrosa and the same Offscreen power jump he got from doing nothing that he has now… Lets give that to Law again from now to EoS… The man will be broken… I bet he will just pull out 10 more random powers that he has never shown before simply because Oda can say whatever he wants regarding Law’s abilities

King blew himself up was completely fine. Explosions contains concussion damage the bypass durability. He can withstand attacks that contain concussion damage.
