My dude unironically wants Wano to last 6 years. The amount of burnout this would produce in the readers would probably cause permanent damage to One Piece's numbers. Imagine spending the last 2 years waiting for Wano to finally end only to realize that there's still years left of the same crap - regrouping, planning an attack, ANOTHER battle against Kaido and the Beasts pirates etc.

Fuck I would actually drop the series lol I'm so ready for Wano to end

Facts man. These guy actually make me really angry. I feel really shit for the fact it gets me so heated but they unironically want this to be the halfway point of Wano. They have no respect for other fans.

I’m genuinely going around calling them people who want other OP fans to die before they see the ending. It actually sickens me

Fair enough but that doesn’t justify another 2 years more of bullshit. The raid failing doesn’t turn Wano into a 10/10 like he’s trying to act like it will.

It will do far more damage to the series then the other way around

With Kaido's speech it becomes clear that he is indeed already awakened.
He realized he can't beat Luffy with his DF's power alone which is why he said Haki triumphs all.
The fight should be over in the next 3 chapters.

Exactly my thoughts. Morj and his followers often say things like "this feels anticlimactic", "it doesn't feel narratively satisfying" or "it doesn't feel earned". They force themselves to do these mental gymnastics to explain how Oda can still save the arc. They don't stop and think that maybe, just maybe... Oda dropped the ball on this one. Maybe it just wasn't narratively satisfying, and that's all there is to it.

100% man. They think Oda can repair this arc by spending another 2-3 years on it but it’ll only make it more controversial. There’s nothing wrong with having mid to only somewhat decent arcs in a show. He needs to get that

But I got an idea, maybe kid will help the people, save them, when Momo isn’t able to pull the island away.

2 possible scenarios:
First: He goes all out with awakaning once again and is able to lift Onigashima with it (and with Momo), to sink it slowly in the whole where big mum got send.

second:
When Onigashima breaks completely, he shouts everyone shall grab some Metall and he will lift every Metall on the island together to save all from falling.

It’s the fact that Oda wasted 4 years dragging it out to get to the point where the raid will fail only to waste another 2 years getting to the point of them being Kaido whilst about a 1/3 to a half of all that is absolute pointless filler content

My biased fanboy wish:

Momo holds onigashima first, everyone is celebrating him, he is happy he managed to do. Kid hears his inner voice becoming more silent and jumps into the hole in Onigashima.

A few moments later, Momo faints, it was to much. The island is falling again, everyone panicked, until it suddenly stops.

Kid stands on the ground of wano, arms in the air like genkidama. He is bleeding out of his wounds, eyes, nose, mouth… and says:
„Law, get them out of the island, I can’t do this for long…“
