I mean, you think Zoro killing him is a better option, but that wouldn't mean the Momo one is bad itself, no? He would be avenging his father and freeing his country, and using the sword his father bestowed upon him. Zoro on the other hand has known Kaido for little more than a month and his personal beef with him doesn't carry as much thematic value behind as Momo avenging the Kozuki name.

As for BB yeah it would be repetitive but we shouldn't rule out any crazy last minute appearances in Wano. I don't personally believe it but it is possible.
