Cobra was dead as soon as we saw him with tubes up his nose -- same death flag as Whitebeard.
Sabo obviously is not dead because of the way the story makes you wonder if he is, but doesn't say.
Since everyone's worried about Sabo and not believing it, he's probably accused of something -- Cobra's death.
Vivi must be involved somehow, because it was her picture Im was carrying. There's no way she is going to die off screen like that, so there was probably an attempt on her life.
The only thing that makes sense is an assassination attempt to extinguish the Nefertari family. Cobra dying in the process but Sabo saving Vivi. All the hype implies Sabo fought at least one admiral on the way out.
All this seems more or less evident. I'm still waiting for the surprise.
