Guess the Sword organization was Oda's way to introduce the new marine group that will take over after Akainu's regime in the marines will be dismantled, which explains why they are allowed to go rogue, and do things without their permission and with Coby's dream of becoming a marine admiral, and his recent hype as the future of the marines, he'd ultimately end up being the leader of that regime, which funnily enough would completely antagonize Akainu's thorough justice just like in MF

RIP to theories that said SWORD is a secret organization. The WG and Marines fully know about them. To further prove that, there's even scene in Film Red where Bluneo asks Koby why SWORD is on the island.

SWORD fits Garps style since they don't need permission to attack Yonkos (not like he would have asked for permission anyway 😂).

Koby and kidd

After the timeskip, Coby has gained some new abilities and become a captain in the Navy, although his overall power level is still below that of many of the series' top fighters.

In terms of power scaling, Kidd is definitely stronger than Coby, due to his mastery of magnetism and his higher level of haki proficiency. Kidd has been shown to be able to hold his own against other powerful characters such as Luffy and Big Mom, while Coby is still a relatively low-ranking Navy officer who has yet to face any truly powerful opponents. However, it's worth noting that Coby has shown a lot of growth and potential over the course of the series, and it's possible that he could continue to develop his abilities and become a stronger fighter in the future.
