If there is a special mechanism in One Piece, its possible its more than just treasure. There are theories about this, there are ancient weapons but One Piece is just a treasure? I doubt. Then Ancient Weapons might be more valuable than One Piece which makes no sense. Its definitely more than just treasure and more than mere history.

Luffy doesn't give a fuck about history and won't get mad by history to fight government.

My guess is, there is a special mechanism in One Piece that changes everything about the verse.

But Roger didn't do it because they didn't defeat Government first.

So for its to work, Luffy and allies already fighting Government right now, when Government is defeated One Piece can be found and changes everything.
