joyboy obviously wasn't a bad guy. so either the 20 kings were evil and decided to fight him OR they were well-meaning but got brainwashed by imu. lily probably got brainwashed by imu, who told her and the other 19 that joyboy is evil/wants to destroy the world with his advanced tech/is to be blamed for the great flood or whatever.

so the 20 kings joined forces to stop 'evil joyboy' and won - only for lily to soon realize they had all been duped and everything imu told her was a lie. she then 'disappeared'.

Yeah, I could buy that. Although I would prefer something more nuanced than "brainwashed" for the motivations of the 20 kings tbh.
