Aside form the fact that the name of the technique is the same as Garp and that Koby clearly received a power-up on doing that hit.
Ofcourse he did. He got haki bloom
The thing is that Oda has done a very poor job at differentiating between CoC and CoA. However, Koby's technique is definitely advanced Haki. He's doing the no touch Haki which is either ACoA/Ryuo or ACoC. Given the fact that this technique is mimiking Garp's, there is also a huge chance this is ACoC.
I agree it could be ACoA

I am a LOBI hater and I can still admit him getting COC if oda reveals it later....But LOBI WANKERS would still smoke their copium doses even if we show them the difference between the adv coc and adv coa. That sound effect is everywhere bro it's near Rayleigh sword when he saves Hancock, luffys fist, kaidos club...It's you guys who can't admit LOBI NOT Having COC:jackcopium:
What can I say? We'll see.

To me, narrative is clear about Koby having advCoc, but we are going to find out.

The attack mirroring merely implies they're using the same style. It's there to reflect on their master-student relationship. It's like saying Togen Totsuka from the Scabbards has CoC coating coz they use the same style and attack lmao. Again, if the attacks use the exact same Haki types, then there is little reason to not draw the huge Haki trails that Oda usually does for every single known CoC user—he legit drew it for Garp a page before Coby's.

The attack's DC is the only thing that's making me think this could be a CoC attack. Sending shockwaves isn't news for us. It's just that it's out first time seeing this from a non-weapon user.
I guess we gotta go with agree to disagree for now.

Tbh this is a irrelevant as this panel here, all about perspective
Um, what's wrong about the Onigashima scan? The sword is gigantic after all.

But on this panel, perspectives make appear TB larger than the palm but only because it is drawn at the foreground whilst Hachinosu appears at the background when it is usually visually smaller than it is. So in a position, where both islands are in similar positions, TB would logically appear even smaller.
