Why would Luffy use gloves when he has freedom to fight as he wishes? Isn't that contradicting the whole purpose of the Nika awakening, a fruit that allows him to have absolute freedom?

OP fans cannot read. In every manga, character X Is introduced as the strongest, than Z appears and Is even stronger.

If we consider Red shanks >> Kizaru/Kaido drunk and then people really believed that Shanks, the character from chapter 1 that Luffy wants to surpass could have been the weakest yonko, what a take.

No sarcasm, I always believed there's a reason Kizaru did not care to step into a situation with 2 Yonkou or is ever worried. And it's cause he has full confidence in how fast/how hard to tag he is, worst case scenario those two would be incapable of putting him down if he wanted to simply leave.

The spoiler only says that somewhere during the chapter, Kizaru kicks Snake-man Luffy, and then at the end of the chapter, Luffy switches to Gear 5. Do you think that this is all that happens during the entire chapter or battle and nothing else between the two events?
