Luffy vs Kizaru is actually pretty funny. I'm liking G5 here much better than against Kaido in 1044/1045. I think making the opponent able to react to its shenanigans instead of being victim of toon effects is much better

The difficulty of Kizaru is not damaging him, it's catching him and being able to even hit him in the first place, that's why conqueror's coating doesn't matter that much, though I don't understand why Luffy didn't use it when he could hit Kizaru in Snakeman (yonko nerf???).

The moment Luffy can do that, I think it'll be over, but will it happen or are we simply being teased by Oda?

Kizaru (like any top) is bound to be physically very resistant and + he is a defense specialist.
Sure, hitting him is a problem, but even when you hit him it's not going to be easy.

Kaido would indeed struggle against Kizaru because Kizaru would keep escaping him, like Luffy was basically doing in Gear 5.

Now, Kizaru wouldn't be able to tank a thunder bagua or a blazing bagua, you can't possibly think that Kizaru has a chance against these attacks given what we have gotten so far. Kizaru is very fast but hasn't been shown to be strong at the moment.

The fight would be long because Kizaru would keep escaping Kaido, and Kizaru could possibly damage Kaido a bit with his sword and with all his clones attacking him with a sword, but the moment Kaido's kanabo hits Kizaru, it's over for him.
