Kuma and bonney are pivotal to EoS lore, meanwhile kaido was a stepping stone for luffy.

Kaido was the main villain for a 300 chapter saga.

There's no excusing his "backstory".

Kuma obviously deserves a backstory, but Kaido deserved it more debatably

Oda has said he has eyes issues and irrc back as well. Didn't he say his doctor told him to become more active and started playing pokemon go because of it?

Yonko saga had good ups, horrendous downs.
But even then there's still stuff like Fishman Island and Punk Hazard.

FMI was basically the other side of the Fishman/Racism story with Arlong Park. It was purely to establish SHs as "Powerful" now.
Punk Hazard was good, we got to see Law, Vergo, Smoker, Monet, Doflamingo, Aokiji in Post TS. It isn't a standalone arc, it was meant to be the starting point for Dressrosa.

Then came the Yonko Saga which trashed the Post TS.

Kaido is yesterdays news, bonney will become a SH and kuma is connected to EoS lore.

As amazing as kaido was, he already played his role, even tho i wouldn't complain if he joined the fight against WG for one last dance.

I remember that but I believe those are pretty much problems every Mangaka faces. Seemed like Togashi was in so much pain he couldn't draw at all.
