And Issho had the strongest praise for him wishing that he weren't blind after all, so that he could see Luffy's face.

The marines are both antagonists and largely decent people. How they live with their own ideals while serving a rotten institution is a central theme.

You should not ignore the symbolism of Kizaru dancing like Nika with Kuma, Bonney, Vegapunk and Sentomaru, even if it wasn't for Luffy or Nika directly.
