Imho, Luffy/Zoro fought stronger opponents in Wano than Kizaru/Lucci.

Kaido > Kizaru for sure.

Lucci, at least CQC wise, is a good margin better than King imo. His recovery is beastly and his AP is no joke either (one shot on-guard Sentomaru).

I think he is at least on par with YC1s tbh

Luffy was much faster than him and easily controlled the fight through CoO (except that one time he couldn't stop Lucci from piercing Sentoumaru's chest), but he was sent flying backwards the one time they clashed with haki, in G5. Why isn't Zoro, no bandana, no CoC, no Asura, flying backwards, and is instead pressuring Lucci?

It's easy to downplay any character this arc.

We've seen what, a couple tiny panels of the entire fight?

Why is Zoro all banged up, if Lucci isn't landing attacks?

The celebration was about Zoro saying he's the one controlling the length of the fight.

Zoro not going all out is why Lucci isn't dead, but it's negative IQ for an escape mission.
