Oda is addicted to his mid transition chapters, ending on a cliffhanger. The stalling of Vegapunk’s message has gone on long enough and the little info that the world will sink under the sea, as bizarre as it is, is not the most interesting to start with or hang on to, since without context it is completely random and only of cartoony seriousness. It also reminds me of one of the best criticism’s of One Piece I’ve seen, of the endless arbitrariness of the storytelling and possibilities.

The Gorosei have provided some nice stylistic variety recently. Sanji shows a decent intervention, but it’s not something that surprises me a lot. After all, they are still on the island.
