Joyboy had the Nika fruit 800 years ago. That robot doesn't know it has been asleep for 800 years. It wakes up because the energy it feels is like Joyboy's, who ate the Nika fruit. The robot sees Luffy, who has the power of Nika, as well as a similar appearance, so the robot assumes that Luffy is Joyboy. Even Zunesha mistakenly thought Joyboy had returned until he realized it was not Joyboy but power was similar to Joyboy's power.

Edison hasn't died yet. He charged at the barrier to provide clouds for the shp. So maybe his circuits shorted out from the barrier and isn't recognized by York anymore.
