I think that was in the context of needing the message stopped which is why she finally relaxed when it was interrupted and she thought it ended.

I feel like he’s being forced by Shonen jump because there’s no other explanation, with JJK and MHA and Black Clover ending, they have to keep One piece serialised for as long as they can, new authors aren’t able to produce the same level of manga those in the 2000s were able to and the generation that used to read Shonen jump during that period are all old enough and the new gen is not being appealed by it.

So they have to hold on to their breadwinner one piece

I'm definitely gonna take a break from this manga after this arc. It's ridiculous. 2 month of a speech which drags on and on and on and on.

It's even worse than that:

Vegapunk's message (which up until this point didn't reveal anything noteworthy other than the world sinking) started in chapter 1108 (scans coming out February, 22) and the Five Elders pulled up in chapter 1109 (scans came out on February, 29).

Since then we're basically in the EXACT same spot we were back then (minus the "world is sinking" reveal, that most had already guessed anyway): Still running from the Gorosei, still trying to reach the Elbaf ship, nobody else got KOed during that time, Kizaru is still chillin' on the ground.

It's borderline ridiculous how little plot progress we had those past 12 chapters aka almost 5 months.

And yet it's the same bullshit Oda pulls almost every post-skip arc: A completely dragged out second half of the arc, that is filled with filler nonsense.
