Stalemating G5 is good enough for an offpanel fight, I had Kizaru losing to a combination of G2/3 + G4, maybe G5 as a finisher, so to see him discard all the other gears and force a stalemate with G5 is an overachievement. The underachievement was this not even being a real fight, but a stallfest, which is also pretty predictable at this stage, this arc was never supposed to be one with major battles.

The disappointment was how wack Kizaru's fighting style/choreography was, dude was a glorified pacifista all arc, with even less firepower to show for it than some pacifista. But that's just Oda being lazy, not Kizaru lacking in strength, I think Oda just lets toei draw fights these days.

And this Admiral nerf shctick is getting old, it got old ages ago, but here in the endgame and we still have to deal with this bs from Oda, he's introduced endgame villains already, let these poor Admirals go all out jesus, even the Yonkou have already gone all out, Oda trying to have his cake and eat it too. It just speaks on how strong they still are, that Oda still can't unleash them without sidetracking the arc/ what he is trying to draw.
