He could not figure out luffy move but he was not caught off guard the way how you using the term for all the other attacks.
He saw him , try to attack him and then get attack , him not figuring out the move is not getting caught off guard like all the other attacks which more like sneak attacks which happen whole arc from everyone even from Kizaru him self like on people like sanji and franky .
Luffy say Bwah with !!! but he was hardly in any pain or show any damage .
If anything him getting hit into the robo and barrier hurt more that Kizaru kick it self with what he was screaming allong with !! marks.
Also he was still in G4 when get hit into barrier but come back in G5 but there nothing show that Kizaru hit him out of G4 only that came back into barrier in G5.
yeah it burn and did not to any damage that matter and he only get hit trying to save VP.
Next time we see luffy after that attack he look even better than before lol .
Luffy already land a clean hit with WSG , hell he was able to hold Kizaru twice .
The first time Kizaru was talking to VP so are you saying kizaru so slow that he can even react to gaint luffy while he just talking ?
If fact you heard luffy shouting before he even hold Kizaru .
