Yeah I love one piece, but right now I’m not feeling it. I think it’s better to give myself a break for a few weeks. 
Hopefully the arc will get much more interesting and better soon! If it starts off worse but gets better instead, that would be the ideal scenario vs it starting off well and stagnating or declining ofc!
I'm really worried about what the SHs will find once they break out and if it will be Elbaf or not. It HAS to be Elbaf but I don't trust Oda to not troll us either.
I thought Oda mentioned Elbaf here, he's surely alluding to it ofc unless he's referring to Beehive somehow? But Vegapunk and such were talking about going to Elbaf at the time during Egghead so it must be Elbaf?:
This message had me worried, maybe Oda didn't want the SHs to go to Elbaf or to do Elbaf as an arc too BUT that would be extremely out of character and weird for him too? Is he just trolling for hype and to mislead us on where the story is going and what to expect so we can't predict him?
Also never seen that photo of Oda before, so weird to see a recent pic of Oda! To see him as he is now! So used to seeing much younger Oda constantly!Its like seeing Kubo now and not his famous emo/90s hairstyle with the sunglasses too! Kubo is completely different meanwhile Araki still looks the SAME for decades and CENTURIES, the bloody immortal bastard!
Aye thats a good plan man! I love One Piece too so I get it, the more you love something, the more you can become disillusioned once it loses its spark/way or so, when it has a rough patch especially too long or especially just lacks its charm/soul that makes it so great.

I think Oda is being dramatic there. He want Luffy to get to Elbaf, but isn’t ready to give us what we want.
It's weird this otaku is an oppressive and self proclaim Sun God, the typical villain of the One Piece, Luffy decides not to attack him and liberate the people inside the cage instead he praise his work and have fun in this little adventure that the otaku put him in. Perhaps Luffy didn't feel threatened because if this otaku wanted him dead he will be dead already. Or maybe Oda wanted Luffy to draw inspiration from this little adventure, so he will create something that related to his dream. Joyboy probably did something similar like the Grand Line but he died before finishing it, Luffy will carry on what Joyboy left off. Since this Sun God is fake and everything he did is wrong, Luffy the real Sun God will do it the right way.
One Piece is goated but if I’m honest it’s been riding off its popularity of its characters than its story. We’re in the final saga, where we should be more invested in the story, but it feels more rinse and repeat.

Exactly! It really feels like history repeating itself, rinse and repeat as you said ofc, too much abuse of formulas and clichés!
Aye Im looking forward to some more good fights and Gear 5 shenanigans naturally. I love it when Nami uses Zeus like this and I'm praying we get some Chopper and Usopp greatness too somehow. But Im really aching to see the other SHs and Lilith too, however long that will take, god knows they are so neglected especially Jinbei and Brook lol.
Right?! Something is seriously wrong with Oda if its not Elbaf and One Piece is definitely NOWHERE near the end if its not Elbaf as you said ofc hahaha! Maybe this could be a short warm up arc to Elbaf itself but it should just be Elbaf at this point, we've waited decades for it ofc!
Although I wish we could get some chapters outside the OP world and even a Cross Guild and BBP mini arcs, some more on the RHP (even though I hate them now lmfao) and so on! Some kind of mini arc for Sword and Revolutionaries too.

Exactly! I would love if we mainly focus on the shs than “filler” characters in every arc. Sometimes I feel like the shs know they’re the main characters, so it would be nice if Oda can rock the boat with some problems they can’t just run away from like in water 7.
Yeah I would love if we focus a few chapters on CG shenanigans and when we get BBP v RHP majority of the fight is not skipped.

Tbh this is the only issue I have with what we've seen so far...
The guy knows Luffy one shotted his captain ( in gear 2 )
He probably saw Big Mom as a kid doing what she did in Elbaf, they have a Yonko ( shanks ) protecting the country, Luffy is now a Yonko he should be ABSOLUTELY aware ( as a character ) about Luffy's strength ( and accomplishments ) yet he thought he could contain the top 3 members of a Yonko crew with some glass, I get the memes and everything but idk what Oda and his editor smoked when they wrote the whole scenario down
