I still think King feels all the pain from when attacks hit him with his flame on, they just don’t actually damage him. So what King was doing here was just avoiding being hurt since he can’t be damaged anyways.

The complete invulnerability just makes 0 sense
Oda refuses to properly explain how it works, but to me S-Shark clearly looked hurt when Nami and Sanji hit him

Then why did he just give Zoro free shots to get stabbed? Why would he just blow himself up?
Clearly, if pain without damage was an issue for King, these wouldn't be happening.

King didn't even register Zoro as a threat pre KoH. He was just an opponent he can have fun fighting with.
This changed only after KoH.

The obvious logical conclusion that can be drawn from here is that KoH Zoro could damage King. It isn't just pain, pain comes from damage by the way anyway (King can't regen).

He didn’t blow himself up? He just sent out a lot of fire with his pyrokinesis. How does Zoro stab him for jackpot if he is super durable and Zoro can’t cut his skin?

But we know for a fact KoH Zoro can’t damage King by Zoros own volition in egghead.

Yeah like the idea that bro just felt 0 pain after that panel is nuts.

And the “absolute durability” still doesn’t make sense when we see Zoro stab into flame on King right before king uses jackpot.
King still feeling pain in flame on mode would actually explain why he sometimes turn off his flame despite being supposedly invincible in it. He was used as a subject of experiments and while I wouldn't say he's Cracker he rather avoids feeling pain if he can.

Yeah I think he clearly is afraid of pain after everything he went through as a kid and it would explain the fuck out of Zoro vs King
