These are the same point. There are so many Norse mythology characters associated with the end of the world. Jormungandr, Fenrir, Surtur, etc, etc.

This just feels like DF foreshadowing to me.

Huge reason for Loki to be strong as fuck though. When a fruit get serious hype (Goro Goro no, Gura Gura), the character with the fruit gets to show off a lot in their arc.
Very likely that the reason why he's chained in seastone right now is because Oda plans to hype the shit out of his abilities with the fruit as soon as he's released.

If that were the case, why even mention that all the Giants had to band together to capture him in the first place? Doesn't make sense. And it also doesn't make sense for Dorry and Brogy to be the only high tier (or low top tier) Giants besides Loki.

Because Oda knows how weak giants look and had to emphasize it took all of them. Also Dory and Brogy are close to Loki’s bounty, the portrayal is pretty clear: it would have made a difference if they were there.
