Shiki changed his haircut because he's Saul's adopted son, and wanted to change his hair-style before he re-introduced himself to Saul Otou-san

This also implies that Loki and Shiki might be working together. I can see this working well:

Shiki x Loki could be the best thing One Piece has done since Cross Guild.

That would actually be pretty cool which means it might not happen, just like that ancient fishman thing. I remember when I posted the Strong World comparison in the last thread someone pointed out that Oda might just be recycling the designs. I really hope that's not the case since Oda never really acknowledge if Strong World happened or not. And if it didn't, that just leaves a huge plot hole from chapter 0 since it shows Shiki's plan was still in effect in the manga.

To be fair, I don't think that "Me and my editor got into a big fight and got wounded in the process" thing was a serious comment, it'd be dumb as hell for him to do and even dumber for him to admit it.
Not trying to defend him because he definitely is a shitty person in some ways, but I just wanted to point that out, because I don't really believe he assaulted someone (as far as we know).

Yeah the fight thing might be an exaggerated joke, but the rest def sounds legit especially when you consider that Oda's an older guy who grew up in the harsher japanese work culture of old.

It’s gotta be Gaban. Someone had to take care of the Oro Jackson after they disbanded (it’s not like they would let the WG claim it or have it torn down), and we know Ray and Crocus don’t have it. It was also made of Adam wood, so it makes sense that one of the Roger Pirates would bring it back Elbaf

The burn scar man isn’t the same as the Elbaf guy. Burn scar man was hyped as being hard to catch on the sea, so the SHs will encounter him on the sea

This is how I view Strong World: Oda wanted to establish Shiki canon, and then use Strong World as a movie to explore other later concepts, like SMILES. Strong World had a strong that affected animals in negative ways, and also destroyed the local populace: this is clearly a SMILE prototype concept, IMO.

So, Shiki DOES has a plan still going on, but it's not the one from Strong World: it's a plan revolving around his original goal, that he wanted to do with Roger, the Ancient Weapons. Edd War IS canon:

Shiki wants the Ancient Weapon that can destroy the world.

Loki wants to bring the world to an end.

Vegapunk stated the Ancient Weapons can destroy the world.

What Ancient Weapon did we just learn the location of, a location that currently has a Cover Series? A location, deep underground, that two Yonkou just got shot down into?

If Oda actually planned for Shiki to be involved in the current story, he wouldn’t let the anime give Shiki a fruit Oda didn’t want
