Yes, and unlike Shiryu, he managed to kill someone with that. The difference is, Shiryu did a sneak attack like Squardo, both injured Old Legends in similar sense but Akainu went on and critically injured Whitebeard in a 1vs1 confrontation after he got a heart attack from being pushed like that.
Did Shiryu do that in a direct confrontation?

I compare 2 Feats where 2 characters were shown their named attacks which confirms they are taking things seriously and they are fighting for real

2.) One of them was allowed to take the full blow, the other one wasn't.

Kizaru vs Luffy is different. I believe Oda from the beginning wanted it to be a real prolonged fight but he left it up all to the anime. He gave beginning and end and the rest is for the anime.
