I wonder if it's like half-and-half CDs and people brought in to serve them.

Imu is very protective of CDs. It would make sense for the Holy Knights to recruit and use non-Celestial Dragons as the primary force.

This is why we only see Gunko attacking; she's subservient to Pranks, and disposable compared to him.

Also possible that so many Holy Knights died in "God Valley" (IE, the Celestial Dragons, the "God", were killed an let down in a "valley", as valleys are often associated with death) that they had to recruit from outside forces.
York believed they could become a Celestial Dragon so potentially there's ways to get into the higher echelon outside of birth

lollo trying to tell luffy his boyfriend is a lying sack of shit is kinda cute. luffy's reaction is also very human and realistic: nooo you've never met him you don't understand that he's a good guy underneath, he promised me the world:hurry:. then lollo going: and that's called future faking:brootea:

I think you can technically join the Celestial Dragons, but it's like old money and new money in modern societies.

You'll never really be part of the club. You'll be above the "peasants", sure, but you'll always be looked down at as lesser.

York is NOT going to enjoy living in Mary Geoise, I can guarantee it.

Chick got to spend her entire life eating, shitting, and sleeping, and traded it away to be a science slave to super racists.

If only the brains were as big as the ass.

Nami’s mom could easily be revealed to be a former slave, with her character arc completing in Mariejoa when she finds her “father.”

My impression from these guys is that they will try to recruit Zoro and/or Nami at first, but then back off when their offer is rejected. Stabs is revealed not to be Shanks when Luffy meets him, causing him to at first rejoice but then get angry and confused. Or, he will clash with him thinking that it is Shanks before Stabs and Gunk take off. God’s knights only teased, as well as their identities as clones, so that someone can out the pieces together when the crew meets the revolutionaries next arc. No fight, or they just leave before Luffy and co. even show up.

This reveal is meant to be a tease, just like Gunko’s outfit. They came here to recruit Loki, not to fight the Strawhats who were just down the hill from where they landed.

No chance the Gorosei or Imu are dumb enough to send two knights to fight the actual god of their nightmares in the middle of a nation of powerful, fanatical allies when all 5 of the gorosei couldn’t stop him from leaving Egghead. If they wanted the place cooked they could send a whole force, or they could use the weapon.

On a fun note, I love how clear it is made in this chapter that there are a grand total of 3 real pirates on the Strawhat crew, and all of them are on a boat sailed by a Nami-simp heading towards a captured Prince and two secret agents.

All 7 of these others are some regular people along for the ride 😂

Sanji- eating, enjoying girls
Usopp- feasting, spinning tales
Robin- reading and reuniting with a friend
Chopper- studying medicine
Franky- carpentry
Jinbei- enjoying himself as a spectacle
Brooke- playing music and partying

Luffy- pissing on local folklore/making war
Zoro- threatening decapitation/making war
Nami- robbing the palace

Arrived at the island of their most powerful allies
Ate their food and drank their wine
Robbed them blind
Unshackled the great destroyer
Power up, beat him to a pulp
Ran off the secret malevolent forces at work under the people’s noses
Convert “villain” to good guy
Win friends, even though you took all their stuff and put their lives in danger, because you exposed their true enemy and united them together

Maybe that's why the Gorosei were talking shit to Garling. It's technically never been confirmed that the Figarlands are a part of the original 20 families.

Or maybe Imu literally rewrites history whenever a family falls out of favor and puts a new one in their place.

Gunko and Loki recruited by Pranks into HK status by sheer merit of strength

Gunko bestowed arrow powers by none other than Imu themselves

This is turning into some Bleach Quincy shit. Gunko is her :steef:
I’m placing my bet that her power and the other Gods knights‘ powers are way harder than that.

The way she used her power is very odd. When she cut the “arrow” to wrap it around the wolf, it left several rectangles in the air instead of just cutting. Those rectangles are still visibly floating at the end of the arrow wrapped around his neck.

I’m theorizing that she actually has the “line” fruit, and she is able to control lines, which is how she dissolved her clothing into these things that look like bandages but are actually just lines.

So what we should gear up for is this girl and other knights to have awakened Paramecia with insanely abstract potential. Prepare for the user of the line-line fruit to break, reach through, and potentially redraw panels and rip off people’s outlines. Literally the perfect opponents for an insane cartoon character like Nika.

Imagine that's the EOS revelation.
Without knowing it, Arlong enslaved a CD baby.
Nami saves Arlong from the CD's

And Nami makes Arlong her 4th Slave

:lusalty:

We know from the reaction of that Celestial girl (the one that looks like Nami, Shalria) that the Celestial Dragons are very ignorant on the true history.

Imu disappearing entire bloodlines could very well happen, look at what they do to entire islands.
