Really, I was expecting a clone. Like the CDs were mad that Shanks was taken away from them so they produced a copy to compensate their bloodline loss.
But just Shanks has a twin brother? Really? Okay, now what? Unless he coincidentally and conveniently has the exact same scar as Shanks then everybody who sees him knows that it isn't Shanks. So like.... What's the actual plot twist here?

It could go either way. The ocean is also very crucial to the lore, the sea must be alive and I suspect that the devil fruits originated from it. The ocean itself might represent the wish granting devil/god. It explains why df users have a weakness to it, there’s some connection there.
Imu plans to flood the entire world, he’s probably trying to create a twisted version of Utopia using the powers of the sea itself - returning everyone and every df/wish to its origin/creator. Very fitting motives for a final villain.

But Marco portrayal is insane :

- Fought in the 3 main wars in OP : Marineford, Grudge War, Wano
- was the actual leader of the WBP when WB and Ace died
- fought/clash numerous top tiers : 3 admirals, BM, Kaido, BB, Garp
- dominated for a long time two other 1b+ YC1 and YC2
- Was the bro of Ace the MC brother
Kata will surpass Marco I have no doubt
But WCI Kata especially early Kata cannot beat him for me
