I think they do purely because he was name dropped in the oden flashback. And if they don’t remember, at least if the name is dropped again they already have a face with the name.
I would definitely like the idea of him being gaban but i dont think so, if gaban is going to appear anywhere it better be in lodestar so we get a important roger pirate in the start middle and end of grandline
