I'm sure Lucci didn't embarrass base Luffy to such high levels, like putting the key in Luffy's mouth, easily dodging all his attacks, then making him paniked bcoz of a named attack.

Luffy immediately realised Gaban is powerful and pulled G5. Also, Zoro busted ACoC as well which wasn't the case with Lucci.

One attack and Luffy could tell how strong “Ya-San” is and he knew he had to bust out his ultimate power and fight alongside Zoro. Luffy either thinking he’d lose or not know if he’d win 1v1 against Gaban is telling enough.

Why ? Didn't Luffy end up using G5 for Kizaru?

After he used other gears. That was not even done against Old gaban. He instantly needed to bring G5 against old gaban. So it kinds of hype old gaban more than Kizaru.

Not really. Luffy used G5 against lucci instantly. He didn't even used G5 against Kizaru from the start.

Old gaban was clowning base luffy who wasn't even trying to fight gaban for most part.

Old garp blitzed Kuzan legit in a serious battle.

Buddy they sensed his power and went to their strongest forms and willing to fight 2v1. They didn't just go full power for the shits, it was a reaction to his haki and attack.
