That’s probably a speed thing. With a laser he has such little time to know the lasers exact location to redirect it with his paw pads. It’s not like dodging where you just have to use CoO to sense where it’s being aimed

So just as I suspected, Gunko did not really defeat the Colon pirates, they were caught unawares by her powers and regen. Sommers is not a swordsman (Oda likes his Kanabos it seems). None of three HKs currently in Elbaf are Luffy and Zoro matchups. Sommers will most likely be Sanji and Gunko might be taken down in tag team by Nami and Robin, Killingham is idk whos matchup.
