Oda didn't handle Jinbe here well at all.
For one him trying to figure out how the regen ability works doesn't really make much sense.
If thinking about it with next to no clues is enough to comeup with a workaround then this so called regen ain't worth shit.
Then there's the fact that regen in itself wasn't why he lost to Gunko in the first place, it was her arrow fruit.
Even if he lost off panel at the very least Oda should've first and foremost, given Jinbe similar portrayal to the kind Saul got against Sommers. In Saul's case not only was it stated that he actually put up a fight. Saul also emphasized Sommers regen, which gives of the the impression that the regen was a strong reason why he got negg'd by Sommers.

I don’t think she’ll change sides because of Brook. I think his music will definitely affect her though. If she really is Ginny’s clone, I wouldn’t be shocked if the music causes some of Ginny’s feelings to come through which oda already established can get inherited by lineage factor cloning.
