Honestly, I see Imu as a better version of Ōtsutsuki Kaguya from Naruto. Kaguya was handled kind of like the final boss of a Final Fantasy game: There were virtually no allusions to her existence or buildups to her appearance throughout the story, and as a result feels like she came out of nowhere when she usurps the role of "final boss" from Madara, who was the actual main antagonist. Kaguya's pretty much Necron from Final Fantasy IX: She has no real personality or motivations to her actions, and is essentially there so the main protagonists can have an epic "final boss battle" to end the story with.

Imu is also an antagonist set up to be a much bigger threat than the de facto main antagonist (Blackbeard), but there's much more to Imu than there ever was to Kaguya. Imu isn't an antagonist that'll just appear during the climax of Luffy's battle with Blackbeard and take over Blackbeard's body. Imu isn't an antagonist with no buildup or allusions or personality. Imu actually has a place in a story that makes sense and feels natural. Kaguya's an alien compared to the likes of Orochimaru and Danzo and Madara (which is ironic considering that pretty much what the Ōtsutsukis turn out to be), and thus feels out of place.

Imu feels out of place, too, but it's not in a way that feels like they don't at all belong in this manga, like Kaguya did.

Highly doubt Imu's Devil Fruit will get stolen that easily. Especially since their power's likely something beyond Devil Fruits.

Warcury is the only one if you stripped away his regen on Egghead, still comes out with the best durability feats in the entire verse, above Kaidou. The same attacks that were flooring Kaidou, were literally hurting Luffy, I don't think you've quite grasped how ridiculous that is.

Each and every single other gorosei was a regen merchant that arc, they aren't the best anything compared to any other top tiers. That alone has separated him from the rest. Can a Yonkou Luffy even damage the guy (regen excluded?).
